Chloromethyl ethyl ether is an important intermediate for the synthesis of herbicide acetochlor in dry fields, and acetochlor is a famous large-tonnage pesticide variety in China, which can be used in dry fields of soybean, corn, peanut, cotton and other crops, and has excellent weeding effect.
Application
Chloromethyl ethyl ether is an intermediate of acetochlor. Acetochlor is an excellent herbicide widely used in pre-emergence weeding of corn, cotton, peanut and soybean fields.
Preparation
A new process for the synthesis of ethyl amine intermediate chloromethyl ether, the new synthesis process comprises the following steps:
(1) The ammonium chloride into the ether distillation kettle containing the bottom acid of the ether, mixed evenly, the uniform drop of concentrated sulfuric acid and stirring, ammonium chloride in the Chemicalbook of concentrated sulfuric acid, the formation of hydrogen chloride gas;
(2) The hydrogen chloride gas obtained in step (1) is passed into an etherification reactor containing paraformaldehyde and ethanol, and the temperature is kept below 70 ° C. When a large amount of hydrogen chloride gas not participating in the reaction comes out of the etherification reactor, the reaction ends.
Chemical properties
The pure product is colorless and transparent liquid, B. p.82 ℃,n20D1.4040, relative density 1.019,f.p.67 ℉(Chemicalbook19 ℃), industrial product is light yellow liquid, which decomposes into formaldehyde and ethanol when exposed to water and alkali, is volatile, and is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, xylene, etc.
