Octabromo ether is a white powder with low toxicity, soluble in benzene, acetone, chloroform, etc., insoluble in water and hexanol, and its decomposition temperature is greater than 285 ℃. It is the main product of deep processing of tetrabromobisphenol and has better flame retardant effect. As an additive flame retardant, octabromo ether is an efficient flame retardant containing both aromatic bromine and aliphatic bromine, with excellent thermal and light stability. Mainly used in polypropylene, polypropylene, polypropylene resin, polyvinyl chloride resin, resin. The decomposition temperature is higher than that of HBCD and in some respects cannot be replaced by HBCD.
Octabromo ether is mainly used as a flame retardant for plastics, especially in polypropylene and polystyrene. This product has excellent thermal stability and light stability, good synergy with Sb2O3, excellent flame retardant effect, widely used in PP,PE,ABS,PVC and other resins, especially suitable for PP plastic, PP plastic is the most excellent flame retardant.
