Brominated SBS, also known as brominated styrene butadiene styrene triblock copolymer, is a new flame retardant that can replace hexabromocyclododecane flame retardant and be applied to expanded polystyrene and extruded polystyrene foam plate. Brominated SBS flame retardant is a stable molecular weight polymer with high thermal stability and good compatibility with polystyrene materials. It can be shared with synergists in the EPS/XPS flame retardant system, and is not easy to absorb moisture, which helps to reduce the residual water content of EPS beads and improve production efficiency. Under the same bromine content, the flame retardancy of brominated SBS in polystyrene foam is better than HBCD. The polymer structure makes it not easy to be absorbed by organisms, Eliminated hidden environmental concerns.
