Application fields of sodium bromide
Sodium bromide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NaBr. Colorless cubic crystal or white granular powder, odorless, salty, slightly bitter. In the air, it is easy to absorb water and agglomerate, but not deliquescence. It is soluble in water and the aqueous solution is neutral. Slightly soluble in alcohol, can react with dilute sulfuric acid to generate hydrogen bromide. Under acidic conditions, it can be oxidized to free bromine.
Can be used in the photographic industry, perfume industry, printing and dyeing industry. It can also be used for the determination of trace cadmium, the manufacture of bromide, inorganic and organic synthesis, photographic paper, etc.
Application areas:
1. Photographic industry for the preparation of photographic film liquids.
2. It is used in medicine for the production of sedatives, for the treatment. Treatment of neurasthenia, nervous insomnia, mental excitement, etc. It is easily absorbed by the body, but excreted slowly. Sodium bromide can be used to relieve stress caused by chicken transfer, bird beak break, drug injection, immunization, capture, blood collection, or drug poisoning.
3. Used in the production of synthetic fragrances in the fragrance industry.
4. Used as a brominating agent in the printing and dyeing industry.
It is also used for the determination of trace cadmium, the preparation of automatic dishwasher detergent, the manufacture of bromide, organic synthesis, photographic cardboard, etc.
Storage and transport:
1. Should be stored in a dry, cool, well-ventilated place. It should be protected from sunlight and isolated from fire and heat sources. Do not store and transport with ammonia, oxygen, phosphorus, antimony powder and alkali. Keep away from sawdust, shavings, straw, etc.
2. In case of fire, sand and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers can be used.
